The California State Teachers' Retirement System, the second largest US pension fund, appointed a new alternatives advisor as it increases its allocation to the sector.

Two consultants got to the final round and Pension Consulting Alliance won the mandate for the $158bn (€116bn) Californian fund, besting Ennis Knupp.
