Calyon Financial, the brokerage subsidiary of Crédit Agricole's corporate and investment banking arm, has hired a former senior executive from SunGard, the US technology giant, to run its projects operations.

Calyon has appointed Steve Auerbach as global head of projects. Previously he was president of SunGard's futures systems business.
