Calyon has drafted in a team of six leveraged finance bankers from Bank of Ireland to plug the gap left when nine of the French bank's UK team left to join Canada's CIBC World Markets last year.

Calyon, the investment banking arm of France's Crédit Agricole, first announced the replacements in February and the six new faces will now join its financial sponsors group in London.
