French investment bank Calyon has hired six leveraged finance bankers from Bank of Ireland to help rebuild its business, three months after nine of its UK team defected to Canada's CIBC World Markets.

The team, led by Grant Gardner, is expected to join Calyon's London office in the next three months after resigning last Monday.
