Businesses, politicians and education groups have launched a programme to create 10,000 internship opportunities for young Black people across the UK.

The initiative comes as the year has been marked by Black Lives Matter protests following the death of George Floyd at the hands of the police in the US on 25 May and the disproportionate impact the Covid-19 pandemic is having on people from Black, Asian and Minority ethnic backgrounds.
