Canadian giant taps infrastructure boom

The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan has boosted its international infrastructure portfolio with the purchase of four marine container terminals in North America at a time when Canadian pension funds are upping their commitments to private equity-type infrastructure deals.

The plan, which manages assets worth $84bn (€64bn), is one of a number of Canadian groups taking leading positions in the sector.
