Candover non-executive director leaves after 17 years

Joe Scott Plummer has resigned after 17 years as the longest-serving non-executive director on the board of Candover, the European buy-out house.

Candover said his decision was a personal one and not directly related to a recommendation by Derek Higgs, who said in his government-sponsored review on board directors that non-executive directors should sit on a board no longer than 10 years, to ensure independence.
