Cantor Fitzgerald has told its incoming class of junior investment bankers that they cannot start until next summer, the latest firm to have its recruitment plans derailed by the coronavirus crisis.

Cantor told incoming analysts of its decision to defer its graduate programme this week, according to two people familiar with the matter. The junior bankers were due to start at the firm later this month, but will now start their programme in July 2021, the people said.
