Finscope, a London-based financial software firm, has appointed John Owen, a founding partner and executive vice president at Capco, the consultancy and services agency, as its first non-executive chairman.

Owen will continue working at Capco. Paul Sulyok, a former colleague of Owen and a founding member of Finscope, said that the non-executive appointment presents no conflict of interest.
