Goldman Sachs might now have David “wannabe superstar DJ” Solomon as chief executive, but the investment bank definitely is not loosening its alcohol policy. New hires are being warned to use “good judgement” when consuming booze, according to Goldman employee guidelines seen by Capital. “Except for management-approved functions, the use of alcoholic beverages on firm premises is prohibited,” rookies are instructed. “The firm expects employees to use moderation and good judgement in the consumption of alcoholic beverages at business-related functions, whether on or off premises.”
