Capital hit by first UK outflows for 14 years

Capital International, which consultants once regarded as the best fund manager in Europe, suffered its first outflows in 14 years last year, shedding £1.2bn (€1.8bn). Its parent, Capital Group International, lost about $40bn (€33.6bn) globally.

Sources close to the company confirmed the figures and said the UK business, which manages about £50bn, lost five clients in the year to December.
