Capmark Financial, formerly known as GMAC Commercial Holding, has named William Aldinger president and chief executive.

Aldinger, who will also sit on the company's board of directors, was chairman and chief executive of HSBC North America Holdings, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings, before his retirement in April 2005. He immediately replaces Robert Feller, who will be leaving the company.
