Capvent Venture Partners, a private equity firm based in Switzerland, is seeking €400m ($352.3m) from investors to put into European and US mid-market buy-outs and venture partnerships.

The funds raised are to be used for single investments on the order of $50m (€56.9m) to $300m. It will be Capvent's second fund. The firm, set up in 2000, has a European client base but invests in funds in the US as well as Europe. It has just opened an office in the UK.
