Capvis looks to sell Bartec

Capvis aims to sell German industrial firm for three times its acquisition price, a rare piece of good news for the stagnant German private equity market

Germany-focused buyout firm Capvis has appointed advisers to sell industrials firm Bartec, according to two people familiar with the situation. The news comes at a difficult time for the German private equity market, with buyout and exit volumes subdued over the past 12 months.

According to two people familiar with the situation, Capvis has appointed investment banks Commerzbank and William Blair to look into a possible sale of the business with the buyout firm valuing Bartec at around €600m.
