Carlyle inks German care homes deal

The acquisition marks the fifth mid-cap deal this year from Carlyle Europe Partners III, which is now over 90% invested

Carlyle Group has bought German care homes operator Alloheim Senioren-Residenzen from London-based private equity firm Star Capital.

Carlyle announced the deal in a statement this morning but did not disclose financial details. A person briefed on the deal put its value at €180 million and added that the firm's Europe Partners III fund was now 90% invested.
