Carlyle boosts leveraged finance with Hance

The Carlyle Group, the US private equity house, has appointed James Hance as a senior adviser to its global leveraged finance business. He is a former chief financial officer and vice-chairman of Bank of America.

Carlyle has had a leveraged finance presence in the US since 1999, with seven collateralised debt obligations managing $3bn (€2.5bn) in leveraged, high-yield, and special situation assets.
