The global private equity firm has set a target of €500 million for Carlyle Europe Technology Partners III

Global private equity firm Carlyle Group is in talks with existing investors about raising a third European technology-focused fund, according to two people familiar with the situation.

The Nasdaq-listed buyout firm has set a target of €500 million for Carlyle Europe Technology Partners III, which is likely to launch shortly after the investment period for CETP II expires in January, one of the people said.
