Carlyle Europe Venture Partners, Carlyle Group's €730m ($645.5m) former internet fund, has recruited Michael Wand, head of European internet research at Deutsche Bank.

Wand, who was ranked number one in the 2001 Reuters Survey of European Larger Companies' category of Internet Software & Services, is joining Carlyle as director for software infrastructure investments.
