Carter quits as CQS chairman

Christopher Carter, ex-chairman of global investment banking at the former Credit Suisse First Boston, has returned to the industry after just six months as chairman of hedge fund manager CQS. He is joining Morgan Stanley in a move that reunites him with former CSFB boss John Mack.

Carter, who left CSFB after 19 years in September, will join Morgan Stanley's London office on May 15 as vice chairman of institutional securities offering strategic advice to key clients.
