Carter quits CSFB

Christopher Carter has quit as chairman of global investment banking at Credit Suisse First Boston after 19 years with the bank. No reason was given for his departure. CSFB said he had decided to leave.

Brady Dougan, CSFB chief executive, said in an internal memo seen by Financial News that Carter was "one of the pioneers of equity capital markets, having built and led our global ECM business throughout the 1990s".
