Harry Henderson, the fund management veteran who launched Cazenove's unit trust business, has been appointed as chairman of Witan Investment Trust, the £1.7bn (€2.7bn) UK-based global growth investment fund.

Henderson joined Cazenove in 1975 and became a partner in 1982. He was appointed as managing director of Cazenove Fund Management in 1988 and launched unit trust operations at the firm. In 1999 he was asked to set up Cazenove's wealth management division.
