Cazenove promotes Wise and Wiles to run corporate finance

Cazenove has appointed Tim Wise and Nick Wiles as co-heads of corporate finance, covering both mergers and acquisitions advisory and broking, as part of a drive to increase its advisory mandates from a broader range of broking clients.

Wise's appointment is a sign that Cazenove intends to step up its work in the financial institutions sector that he heads. Wise joined Cazenove in 1999 from Kleinwort Benson where he headed their financial institutions team. Wise and David Mayhew, chairman, have recently been appointed brokers for HBOS, the newly merged business of Halifax and Bank of Scotland (BoS). They were brokers and co-financial advisers to BoS on the merger.
