The Confederation of British Industry continues to struggle in its bid to heal relationships with key officials in the wake of a sexual misconduct crisis at the business lobby group, according to reports.

Business secretary Kemi Badenoch has become the latest high-profile government figure to turn down a speaking invite from the CBI, Sky reports, after the government cut ties with the group in April amid allegations of rape and the exit of its director-general Tony Danker over separate misconduct allegations.
