Abrdn mulls CBI exit as Aviva, Phoenix terminate membership

Fund giant Abrdn may quit the Confederation of British Industry, a fresh blow to the scandal-torn lobbying group after insurance giant Aviva also pulled out.

The CBI is facing multiple allegations of sexual misconduct against senior figures at the organisation. Among them is a complaint from a woman who claims she was raped in 2019 at a staff party that took place on a boat on the River Thames.
