Cboe suspends its open-outcry trading floor on virus fears

The exchange group said the suspension will take place from the close of business on 13 March

Cboe Global Markets, the exchange operator, has decided to temporarily close its open-outcry trading floor in Chicago, in the latest precautionary measure designed to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

The exchange group said the suspension will take place from the close of business on 13 March, with the aim of preventing the spread of the respiratory illness.
