CBPE Capital, the former private equity arm of Close Brothers, has entered into exclusive talks to buy sofa.com from its founder, according to two people familiar with the matter.
The London-based firm has fought off competition for the online sofa retailer from buyout firms including Lion Capital, which was in exclusive talks to buy the company but has since pulled out, the people said.
