CDC rethink 'to consult everyone from Lazard to Oxfam'

A UK Government reform of the emerging markets fund manager to open to a wide group of investment and emerging market professionals amid a critical rethink of the organisation

The UK'S Secretary of State for International Development Andrew Mitchell will say later today he “wants everyone from Oxfam to Lazard” to advise on an external consultation to help refocus government-owned emerging market investor CDC Group’s investment strategy. He has already said today the strategy has “tipped too far” towards financial gains from development goals.

Mitchell has said in a written statement to the House of Parliament today that he will be consulting investment and development experts on how to reform CDC's strategy.
