Centerview Partners has hired a pair of senior dealmakers from JPMorgan to cover the healthcare sector, which remains a hot area of recruitment even as the hiring frenzy slows.

Rakesh Mehta, who was most recently vice chair of JPMorgan's healthcare group as well as leading its medtech practice, and Najeeb Ali, a managing director in the unit, are joining Centerview as partners, it said in a statement.
