Cerberus picks '$210m Nardelli' as Chrysler CEO

Cerberus Capital Management has installed Robert Nardelli, the retail executive notorious for receiving a $210m (€160m) severance package from Home Depot, as head of car-maker Chrysler after overlooking several of its own employees with experience of the automotive sector.

Cerberus has named Nardelli as chief executive of Chrysler, moving previous incumbent Tom LaSorda to president.
