The CFA Society of the UK has appointed Richard Rothwell as its new chairman and added six new fellows to its ranks. Rothwell, who is founder and managing partner of hedge fund manager Stoneware Capital, takes over from George Spentzos and will serve until December 2012.
The six new fellows include Joe Biernat, a past chairman of CFA UK; Robert Jenkins, member of the Bank of England Financial Policy Committee; Carol Kennedy, senior partner at Pantheon Ventures; Peter Montagnon, senior investment adviser at the Financial Reporting Council; Andrew Smithers, founder of Smithers & Co; and Bob Yerbury, senior managing director of Invesco and deputy chairman of the IMA.
