CFTC mulls extending implementation timeline for OTC swaps rules

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is “thinking about” the issue of possibly extending the timeline for implementation of post-financial crisis rules that mandate banks to set aside margin for uncleared over-the-counter swaps, agency chairman Tim Massad revealed on Friday.
