CGNU hires four lead managers for bond issue

CGNU, the UK-based insurer, has mandated four intermediaries to run the books on its forthcoming £1bn (€1.6bn) equivalent subordinated bond issue, according to market sources.

Market participants said that the borrower has chosen Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch and Société Générale, all of which declined to comment on any aspect of the deal.
