Stock-lending trade body overhauls board

The International Securities Lending Association reshuffles its board as it prepares to tackle issues of lower revenues and greater regulation

The trade body representing securities lending agents and their clients has elected a new chairman and board, as the industry squares up to the challenges of lower revenues and increasing regulatory pressure.

Richard Thompson, head of securities lending product management at custodian Northern Trust, will take the chair at the International Securities Lending Association's first board meeting in January.
