Challenger bank Metro appoints new chair

Robert Sharpe will take over from 1 November 2020

Metro Bank has appointed a new chair to assist chief executive Dan Frumkin with the troubled lender’s “reinvigorated strategy”.

Robert Sharpe, who also chairs Bank of Ireland UK, Hampshire Trust Bank and Honeycomb Investment Trust, will succeed Sir Michael Snyder, who took over as interim chair in October 2019.
