Chang retires from Goldman board

Morris Chang is retiring as a director of Goldman Sachs in order to focus on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, of which he is the founder, chairman and chief executive officer.

Henry Paulson, chairman and chief executive officer of Goldman Sachs, said: "While we regret Morris' decision to leave the board, we respect his desire to scale back commitments away from Taiwan Semiconductor and reduce the burden of constant international travel."
