Charles Stanley scraps Fyshe Horton buy

Sir David Howard, who runs quoted stockbroker Charles Stanley, has broken off talks to buy much smaller broking rival Fyshe Horton Finney less than a week after announcing a possible purchase.

According to market sources, the collapse of talks raises a question mark over the future of Fyshe Horton, which has only around £3.5m (€5.1m) in revenues.
