Charterhouse Specialist Investments, which traditionally focused on public sector finance, has extended its reach into more conventional private equity with its investment in iBase, a digital media company.

Charterhouse Specialist Investments has invested alongside MTI Partners, the veteran UK venture capital firm, and Gartmore Investments, the fund manager. The total funding was £4.2m (€6.8m).
