Rebranding may turn out to be the only own-goal of this globally successful company

Is Chase unstoppable? That is the question now exercising the minds of practically every other custody director as they sip their pre-prandial cocktails or toy with a little champagne and lobster.

While most of the biggest custodians fared well in 2000, and expect more of the same this year, there is the terrible fear that, whenever a truly significant new mandate comes up for tender, Chase is automatically installed as the putative supplier.
