China rejects IPO as part of 'cooldown'

The China Securities Regulatory Commission has rejected the first initial public offering in six months as part of its attempts to curb speculation and cool Chinese markets which have become "dangerously frothy".

San Ou Machinery is the first company to be hit by a step up in regulation which was announced last month after the Shanghai bourse suffered its worst one-day fall in nine years.
