Chinese financial policy makers meet

Leading financial policymakers will meet on Friday and Saturday to discuss reforms to the country's financial system, local media reported, according to Dow Jones. Financial regulators and other top policy makers will coalesce for the Financial Work conference, an event held every five years. A controversial scheme to create a "super-regulator" to organize the central government's holdings of state-owned financial firms is likely to be discussed along with other regulatory changes.
