Christmas is (un)cancelled: UK agrees to relax Covid-19 rules for holiday

The government has agreed to relax coronavirus restrictions for the Christmas holiday

A meeting of the UK government and the leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland has agreed a national plan for a relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions over the Christmas holiday.

Coronavirus restrictions will be relaxed for five days between 23 and 27 December, so that each household can form a “bubble”, or a group that does not have to socially distance, with three others, the UK government said in a statement.
