CIBC World Markets, the investment banking subsidiary of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, has promoted Jacques Cornet to run its global high-yield credit research team as it expands its high-yield capabilities.

In addition to his new duties, Cornet will retain responsibility for high-yield research coverage of the gaming, lodging and leisure industries. He has nearly a decade of experience of high-yield credit analysis. He also spent six years in the corporate finance consulting team at Arthur Anderson.
