A top allocator to alternative investments at the $750 billion China Investment Corporation, one of the world’s largest state investment funds, is unsure most hedge fund managers are as smart as they think they are.

Roslyn Zhang, a managing director in the department of fixed income and absolute return investments at CIC, told attendees at the 2016 SALT Conference in Las Vegas that she was becoming increasingly "disappointed about quite a few aspects of the industry".
