CIO Birrell quits Framlington

Neil Birrell has resigned as chief investment officer (CIO) at Framlington, the UK fund manger, the third senior executive it has lost this year.

He had been with Framlington for nine years and leaves six months after Peter Chambers joined as new chief executive. Birrell had been CIO for the past three years and is not thought to be going to a rival firm.
