Citadel appoints head of principal investments

Chicago-based hedge fund manager Citadel Investment Group has hired a head of principal investments for Asia and Europe, a new role marking an expansion in its international investment activities and the latest in a string of senior hires by the firm.

Nick Taylor will join the firm as senior managing director from Credit Suisse, where he co-founded and led hedge fund Modal Capital Partners. Taylor joined Credit Suisse in 1999, before which he worked with Credit Suisse First Boston as a managing director of proprietary trading in Europe, as well as on the risk arbitrage desk in Europe for investment bank Goldman Sachs.
