Citigroup has made a series of hires to its team selling electronic trading services in Europe, with the bank's chief executive keen to build up its equities business in the region.

Citi has hired Joseph Sidibe as a senior sales person within platform sales, with a focus on electronic trading for institutional clients. He joins after a decade at Bank of America Merril Lynch, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News.
