Citigroup chief executive Jane Fraser said that the US bank would continue to hire senior dealmakers even as the sector eyes cuts after a downturn during the first half of 2022.

Fraser said that the bank was "deadly serious" about making investments into its dealmaking unit, despite a 46% decline in investment banking fees during the second quarter.
