Citi, Goldman among banks pledging relief for Beirut after explosions

The two are among the first financial firms to announce efforts following the explosions in the Lebanese capital, which killed at least 137 and injured about 5,000

Citi says it will donate $100,000 to support the emergency response to the 4 August deadly explosion in Lebanon, while US rival Goldman Sachs pledged to match employee donations.

The two are among the first City financial firms to announce efforts following the explosions in the Lebanese capital, which killed at least 137 people and injured about 5,000 others.
