Citigroup has named a new head of its credit trading business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa - following the departure of the desk's previous head to Nomura in May.

Citi has appointed Amit Raja to the role, according to an internal memo sent by the bank today. He will report to Carey Lathrop and Mickey Bhatia, global co-heads of credit markets, and to Leo Arduini, head of markets in Emea.
