Citigroup has bolstered its European technology team by hiring a new managing director, part of a broader buildout of dealmakers focused on the sector at the Wall Street lender.

Davide Russo has joined Citigroup as a managing director within its technology deals team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to memo seen by Financial News. He was previously head of corporate development for Emea at tech giant, Amazon, and was latterly head of Emea strategy and investments for Chinese internet firm ByteDance.
